Our Upcoming Events!
Brownsville Butcher & Pantry hosts a wide variety of events, including: in-store tastings, our weekly burger nights, brand partnership collaborations, larger gatherings like the Ascutney Mountain Music Series, and our biggest event of the year, the Vermont Food and Wine Festival.
Below is a calendar to help you stay up to date on all our upcoming events!
Chanukah Celebration - Latke & Brisket Pop Up
The Festival of Lights means so much to us and to our community. This season is about gathering with family and friends, honoring tradition, and sharing the foods that bring comfort and joy.
At BB&P, that means our annual spread of latkes, braised brisket, and matzo ball soup made with care and ready to bring home.
On Tuesday, December 16th from 4–7pm, we’ll be offering these Hanukkah specials, hot and ready to enjoy in store with us or to take home as you light the menorah and spin the dreidel.
In addition to the delicious holiday-themed menu, we will also be doing a hard cider pairing with Watson & Wheeler ciders, which are crafted locally in Shaftsbury, Vermont, utilizing unsprayed local Vermont apples, including many foraged varieties.
We’re grateful to be part of your celebrations, and we look forward to cooking for you!

Wine & Cheese Tasting
Go on a wine journey with our resident wine expert and maker, Joanna. For this special holiday tasting, she’ll be curating a focused lineup of wines—playful bottles, hidden gems from our library, and a few surprises pulled from deep in the cellar. This is the time of year when we get a little giddy about opening older vintages… and rumor has it a Bordeaux vertical may make an appearance. More details to come, but trust us—this is one you won’t want to miss.
Bonus Round:
Our friend Jesse from Provisions International will be crashing the party with an incredible selection of cheeses and charcuterie. Having this local legend in the house is always a treat, and his knowledge—and palate—never disappoints.
Eden Cider Tasting
Meet and taste with Riley Duffie of Eden Ciders. Eden Cider is one of Vermont’s most celebrated craft cider producers. Eden is renowned for its dedication to heirloom apple varieties, cold-climate terroir, and traditional cidermaking methods. Founded in 2007 by Eleanor and Albert Leger, the team pioneered American ice cider—a style inspired by Québec in which apple sugars are naturally concentrated through freezing before fermentation, creating a luxurious, dessert-style cider unlike anything else.
In honoring the land, the orchards, and Vermont’s cidermaking traditions, we couldn’t imagine a more fitting way to celebrate the holiday season.
As always, we’ll be slicing cheeses and offering pâtés to pair with the beautiful lineup of Eden ciders. A festive, flavorful afternoon awaits.
Monday, 12/22 - Ugly Sweater Party - Live Music: Jeremiah Strauss
Time to get festive! It’s our Annual Holiday Party, and we want to see you in your most gloriously ugly holiday sweater. We’ll have live music to set the mood, tasty snacks, and loads of oysters to keep the celebration rolling. The crowd usually gets lively… but don’t worry, we’ll leave the singing to Jeremiah Strauss—thank goodness.
And if that weren’t enough, some old-time BB&P familiar members will be making a rare appearance behind the bar, making the cheer even sweeter.
Let’s make this holiday party a bit more spirited than it should be.
Closed For Christmas!
We don’t take many days off, but this will be one of them; make sure to stock up on all your holiday needs on the 24th!
Happy Holidays from all of us at Brownsville Butcher and Pantry!
Champagne & Burgundy Wine Tasting
Experience an extraordinary journey through two of France’s most revered wine regions at our Holiday Champagne & Burgundy Tasting Event. This exclusive seasonal gathering features a thoughtfully curated lineup of luminous Champagnes and refined Burgundian wines, guided by Chris Campbell of Village Wine Imports, who will share the stories, terroirs, and traditions that make these bottles truly exceptional.
This is a rare opportunity to taste some of the most coveted cuvées and small-production Burgundies—perfect for elevating your holiday table or gifting with intention.
We’ll be pouring Champagnes from André Clouet and Burgundies from Domaine Chavy-Chouet. The tasting is complimentary, and freshly shucked oysters and housemade pâté will be available for purchase to pair with these extraordinary wines.
Join us for a celebratory evening of exceptional craftsmanship, seasonal indulgence, and the simple joy of gathering over remarkable wine.
